It makes communication much easier than it used to be. But as we all know there are side effects to anything good. So, cell phone addiction is its major side effect. But what are the causes of having a broad number of people addicted to this device?
If you look around you will probably find so many people staring at their phones. It’s become a basic tool in everyone’s life, and cell phone addiction is contagious, the number of people using it is growing constantly.
If we come to think of it, we will realize that many people are so busy that they look for an easy way to contact their family and friends, and cell phone is their answer. With cell phone, we can call or text anyone anytime. By time, people started liking that way of communication more than meeting face to face, besides, it’s a time saver. Less time with people means more time with cell phone!
With smart phones, the entertaining options are endless and irresistible; you can play different kinds of games, you can watch movies or listen music. And as cell phone is accessible anytime, you can enjoy it whenever you have some free time, in the public transport, work breaks, days off, and whenever it suits you. Why wouldn’t we be attached to this fun world!
As we enter social media, we can meet many new people from different countries, and we can become friends. Sometimes these people show sincere feelings more than our actual friends, which makes us connected to them much more, and that makes us more attached to this device. In addition, cell phone help people feel less lonely, and it brings joy to its user as proved by scientists that our brain produces dopamine –Chemical of happiness- when we hear the phone ringing.

We, as human beings, are sociable by nature, so we tend to do what makes us more connected to people, of course being too connected with a communication device is unhealthy. No matter how great cell phone is, meeting people face to face is much more fun.
No doubt cell phones are great, but still we need to be careful while using it.
it’s called FOMO “Fear Of Missing Out” so they keep wondering all time if something more exciting than what there are already doing is taking place, which makes them check their phone constantly to be up-to-date to the current events.
